| why is the KVS branded with "powered by Miltonstreet Software"? | ||

   Registered Member #1 Joined: Wed Feb 07 2007, 07:06PMLocation: Mason, Ohio, USA Posts: 92 | I often get questioned about why I have branded the KVS with "powered by Miltonstreet Software", here is why: Photo Parata has been a huge learning experience for me about business. One thing I learned about a into Photo Parata's life is that a lot of my customers are not willing to share with their customers that they are using my software to driving the viewing stations. This means Photo Parata is not getting the recognition needed to succeed. I have come to realize that successful business like Nike, Toyota, Kodak, and Abercrombie & Fitch, all have something in common: they all put their name on their products. Sometimes the name is large and in your face like with Abercrombie & Fitch, other times it is very unobtrusive such as how Kodak prints their name on the back of all their paper. In the end, though, the manufacture name is always present to build name recognition. Originally I tried "Power by Photo Parata Software" but it was pointed out to me by another customer that having the work 'Photo' would be confused with the name of the photography company. The software solution he had been used prior to purchasing Photo Parata also has the word 'Photo' in the name and the vender got tons of calls from folks that attended his events trying to find where to purchase pictures online. So I replaced Photo Parata with Miltonstreet Software as to remove any confusion. To this day, nobody has ever tried calling me looking for details on how to purchase images for one of my customer's events. On the other hand, I have had customers tell me they learned about Photo Parata at someone else's event! In the end, this is a win-win for all of us: the more customers I get, the quicker I can develop Photo Parata full time and the faster you will get all the wonderful features that are in store for Photo Parata! | ||
